Brazil is about to end subsidies for new solar projects

Power companies are scrambling to register solar projects in Brazil as Brazil prepares to end subsidies for new solar installations and wind farms, according to a report by consulting firm Epower Bay.
Brazil is one of the most promising renewable energy markets. In view of the fact that only projects registered with the power industry regulators before March 2022 can be subsidized, in March this year alone, the installed capacity of Brazil's solar projects seeking approval has exceeded that of its current solar projects.
It is reported that oil giants also bet on Brazil's renewable energy market. For example, shell has registered a solar energy project with an installed power generation capacity of 1.5 gigawatts, and total's subsidiary's solar energy project with an installed power generation capacity of 49 megawatts has been approved.
